You can personally improve our community fishing resources, and help protect them for the next generation.

Take a kid fishing. Your time and your expertise mean everything to kids who don't have a knowledgable family member to show them the basics. They will remember it forever, and you have a chance to teach the next generation about fishing, sportsmanship, ethics, and respect for nature. Get involved with kids, conservation, enforcement! Contribute!

South Bay Fishing in the City

Creating opportunities for fishing, outdoor recreational experiences, and aquatic education for kids and their families. Bay Area Sportfishers co-host each April's event at Cottonwood Lake, Helyer Park, San Jose, CA.

The Monterey Bay Salmon & Trout Project

Founded in 1976, the Monterey Bay Salmon and Trout Project (MBS&TP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and enhancement of the native salmon and steelhead populations of the greater Monterey Bay area. Bay Area Sportfishers members participate in the operation and all events of the Project. With special emphsis on the annual December Fin Clip event.

Volunteers for Outdoor California - V•O•CAL

Volunteers for Outdoor California engages the community to build and maintain trails and restore natural habitat. V-O-Cal works in partnership with public agencies and other non-profit organizations and conducts large-scale weekend stewardship projects all over Northern California. Bay Area Sportfishers is embarking on a new venue with V-O-Cal, helping them with trail maintenance and construction projects, habitat restoration and related land stewardship activities on public lands, in partnership with public agencies and other non-profit organizations.
